Landlords exchange to completion insurance for rental property
If you are a landlord or buying a property to let as an investment then you will need buildings insurance cover for your property to include the period exchange to completion.
The Law Society contract – Standard Conditions of Sale (Fifth Edition) requires the purchaser to insure the property from exchange of contracts.
Between exchange and completion of contracts whilst the property is occupied either by the lender, or if the property is unoccupied during this period, you will need an insurance policy to accommodate your situation. Bickers Insurance can provide quotes for landlords insurance between exchange and completion of contracts and can be tailored depending on the type of tenant who will be moving in. We can cover working people, DSS benefit recipients, asylum seekers, unemployed persons and students.
If you are buying the property using a buy to let mortgage then we can add the name of the B2L lender on your policy schedule to satisfy the lenders requirements. We email all documentation so can send this to your solicitors if required so it does not hold up the exchange process.
For more information about the cover we can offer please complete the online quote form or give us a call.
